While doing a little belated "Spring Cleaning" in August, I ran across one of my now 18 year old daughter's favorite childhood books, "Jerry's Trousers." It was pretty worn and battered from having been read over and over again many years ago but finding it was like finding an old friend. Afterall, Jerry and I spent many hours together telling his story. Reading "Jerry's Trousers" after all this time was like capturing a little piece of this August night 13 years ago. I got to remember sitting with Steffi on our favorite chair reading "Jerry's Trousers" and talking at length about Jerry and his friend Billy. I got to remember how sweet those moments were.
You may be wondering "Who is Jerry" and what's up with his trousers? Well this particular story published in 1998 is about a very troublesome pair of trousers and an accident-prone dog named Jerry and his good friend Billy who knows quite a lot about being a friend. I'm guessing that 13 years ago I was likely a little tired of Jerry and his trousers. I'd likely had enough of Billy also. I probably thought it would be OK if I didn't see that book again for a long long time. But happily, Jerry and Billy and I are back together again. "Jerry's Trousers" is now proudly sitting on my shelf amid marketing and entrepreneur books, amid all my guides to many things "For Dummys," amid a smattering of books from New York Times bestseller lists over the years.
Jerry is back to stay.

I think you are a really good mother to your child. Some parents do not bother to read stories for their toddler child.
